Condolences
We will always fondly remember Dan, times we shared at Elena’s & Marks BBQ, his love for Music and Trivia games he proudly hosted and was a master, all the beautiful birthday parties for our grandsons Luke and Ben. They adored their PopPop. You were and will always be their No 1. Memories that are etched in our hearts forever. Dan you left us with broken hearts. May God bless Angie, Danny, Elena and your precious grandchildren. Asking Our Lord Jesus to bring comforting love, strength and peace to their broken hearts. May you Rest In Peace Dan.
I am so sorry for your loss. Dad has always shared so many wonderful memories of Dan and all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Lauren (Tom’s daughter)
Dear Angela and Family,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Danny. I am so sorry for your loss. I am remembering his sweet smile.
Janet Kalogiannakis (Mazzeo)
I share the grief of the Mazzeo family with the loss of Danny. I too, have fond memories from my childhood, since our parents were close friends. The last time I spoke with him was a wonderful encounter during my own mother's wake, before the day of her funeral.
I have just recently moved to Rome, Italy to be part of the ministry for American Catholics who live and work here, so it also grieves me not to be able to be with you as you remember his life and commend him into God's loving embrace.
St. Paul writes to the Corinthians: The present burden of our trial is light enough, and earns for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. We do not fix our gaze on what is seen but on what is unseen. What is seen is transitory; what is unseen lasts forever. 2 Cor 4: 16-18
May Jesus lift every burden and ease every pain, and embrace Danny warmly. May he be close to us, as with all our deceased family & friends, who are part of the Great Communion of Saints in glory. May he pray for his family, as he will pray for them.
My prayers, my concern, and my love.
- (Fr.) Joe Ciccone, CSP / The Paulist Fathers
I was very saddened to hear about your loss. Danny was always very friendly to me whenever I attended family functions.

It’s difficult to find the right words at times like this. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and I am sending you all my love.
All of my memories of Danny are ones when he was smiling. That is how I will always remember him.
All my love,
Katherine
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sending love, Laura (Tommy's sister-in-law, Linda's sister)
I am so very terribly sorry that you must suffer the pain on the passing of Danny. I pray that you will find comfort in one another. Husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, friend - he will be missed by many. Here is a photo of cousins attending Nonni's birthday party. I have many memories of us as children enjoying parties and holidays together. One of my first memories of Danny as a loving brother was when he so vehemently wanted to confront the bullies who had given Tommy a hard time in Sound Beach. You surely didn't want to mess with Danny's family!! And now an apology - I am sorry that I wrapped that dried lettuce in saran wrap and mailed it to you in your birthday card all those years ago. . . . . . . . . We did have a good laugh though! God Bless and may you rest in peace.
Danny, I will always think of you and smile. My fondest memories are when we used to play football in the streets of Ridgewood before Thanksgiving dinner, looking forward to spending the rest of the day with family, listening to Uncle Joe's poems, Uncle Victor's singing and Aunt Mary's delicious stuffed artichokes. How I miss those days.
Rest In Peace Danny.
When you were young, you were a hero in my mom's eyes as well.
I loved talking to you about theatre and movies. Family is forever.
Love,
Molly
Sending condolences, thoughts, prayers, and all of my love during this incredibly difficult time.
Dear Dan,
Thank you for being a great big brother to Tommy. From the time I first met him he spoke of you with such love and pride. It meant the world to him that you helped to protect him from the bullies as a young boy when he needed you so much. The joy he experienced with you, your parents and Victor shaped his life. How blessed he felt to have you and your wonderful Angie, Dan and Elena and their beautiful families. You gave him a wonderful family to love. They, too, have truly been a gift in Tom's life and now in mine for the past twenty three years. I will always remember your warm smile and charismatic way of speaking. I'm so glad we sat alongside each other the last time we were together in Point Pleasant and shared a happy time listening to music by the beach. That is a great memory of you. Rest peacefully with no more sadness and only joy with your loving family.
Love,
Linda
Dear Dan. I will always thank you everyday for being a loving & devoted Husband & Father to me and our children. We had such fun with life’s simple pleasures of picnics in the park or a walk by the ocean.
I know you will watch over all of us from the heaven above. Give my love to Mom , Dad & your young brother Victor. Say hi to my parents.
Love & Kisses forever. Your wife Angela.
Dan,
I speak with you as you are with me always. You are my guardian angel, my bodyguard, my companion, my teacher, my eldest brother. You were always at my side whenever I needed you. You rescued me from the bullies on the block when we were growing up. You never felt I was too young to play with you. You made up games at home and we had so much fun. We read comic books together, watched baseball, listened to records. I will miss you so much. Say hello to Mom, Dad, Victor and the aunts and uncles we shared a joyful life with.
Love you forever,
Your youngest brother,
Tommy
