David, I still feel as if this is a dream. We’ve had some great memories together. From being barracks roommates to getting tattoos together. I’m sitting here laughing because before I met you, I had ZERO tattoos. After you took me to go get my first one I got addicted and have probably surpassed you. Man I’m really going to miss my guy. Regardless of whatever was going on in life, you always kept a positive outcome on things. We shared some great memories together brother, back in Texas at Fort Hood, as well as down range deployed overseas. Because of you, I already know what my next tattoo will be. Love and miss you bro and I’m sending my condolences to your family.
Love Merge

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of David. He really was a special guy that really knew how to light up a room. I’ll remember all those pizza and bowling nights with him fondly.
Glen and I are sorry for your loss and know you will take peace from the many memories you have. Cherish them.
Davey Boy,
It's been a little while since we last talked. I know things have been pretty rough the past few years, but I know you've stayed pretty positive given the circumstances. I had the pleasure of knowing you for about 12 years, and I've had a chance to see you grow and change throughout your life. We may have not been close the entire time, but we shared many good and fun memories together as brother-in-laws, and more importantly as friends.
I know we talked about doing a barbecue road trip throughout Texas, and going and sight seeing some of the old cemeteries while listening to some old school hardcore punk. We didn't get a chance to do that, but we did have some great times together, and I'll always remember the great stories that you told about your times in Iraq and in the Oil fields. I'll never forget the time we did Keto together and did workouts in my garage. We tried doing some 2-mile runs around the park with no carbs and almost fainted haha. I have countless memories of us playing call of duty black ops all night, even though both of our wives insisted we stop hours before we finally did. The AK47 build will always be the "David Special" since you pretty much refused to use any other weapon lol. So many great times and good memories. I'll sure miss you bud.
My sincerest condolences for the Labbate family. David was a special guy, and he will be missed by many. I was fortunate enough to hear many stories of his childhood, and I know that he loved you guys very much. Like every family, we all have disagreements, but I know David always held a special place in his heart for his family no matter how far away he was. So now that he may seem as far as he can be, his love for you guys still remains the same, no matter the distance.
