"Big Al!" the shout went out as Al entered the bowling alley. The greeting was universal and heartfelt as he walked over to join "the guys" for a Monday or Friday session. He'd grin, get ready and join in the fun. Everyone loved Al - his style, his flair and his generosity (he would bring cakes and donuts some times). It was clear he enjoyed the outings.
He joined the unofficial monthly "Bowling Birthday"dinners also and it was always good to have him there although he didn't eat much. He has a great sense of humor.
He was very much a people person. He made up nicknames for many of the guys - mine was "Russkle" - I don't know why. If he didn't show up everyone asked "where's Al?" We missed him.
Now he's gone....his smile and humanity will be missed by all. I salute you Al and love you for who you were. Rest easy.
Jane,
Kathy and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family. Al was a very nice person, and we enjoyed the many conversations we had with both of you at various events.

Jane,
Our sincerest condolences to you and her family. Al will be greatly missed by Carmen and myself. He was such a generous and kind person. We have some fond memories of the time we knew Al, whether it was at bowling, an event at Equestra, dinner out or the time you came to Puerto Rico and we showed you Rincon. May he rest in peace!
Most sincere sympathies to Jane and all the Diamond family. It was a joy seeing Al at bowling on Monday and fridays especially. He always greeted me with "California" a name only he used. Special fun were the few special Romeo dinners the group shared.
He even presented me a t-shirt for a quiz he was conducting. I will always cherish our few precious moments and I know he will be very greatly missed. Al thank you for the memories, John Riopel
To the Diamond family my deepest sympathy, al was a great friend and a kind and gentle man, he will be greatly missed. Dennis Dragotti

I only knew Alan for a few years but I am a better person for it. Alan had a keen wit, a good sense of business and above all was a dedicated father, grandfather and family man. I can truly say his love for family and his wonderful character really came through every time we spoke. I will miss him.
My sincerest and deepest condolences to his family on their loss.

I met Alan at the Equestra Bowling League a few years ago. Then I was invited to join a sub-group of bowlers that went out to dinner once a month to celebrate birthdays. Alan's dinner was the first dinner that I was invited too. I came to know Alan as a very generous person. One year at the Train Club's Pancake breakfast; he asked me to hand out about 10 very nice books about Lionel Trains to the children. I always enjoyed sitting near Alan at the dinners and always received a warm welcome from him at the bowling alley. Rest in Peace Alan, you will be missed.

Never selfish, always loving and kind, Alan was a super generous and humble person. We were neighbors, bowling partners and of course friends. His friendships at Equestra were many. These are memories Alan leaves behind. May he rest in peace...he will be missed!
