Obituary of Alan Diamond

Alan Diamond, 75, of Farmingdale passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021  at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.  He was born and raised in Jersey City, and had lived in Nutley and Cedar Grove prior to settling here ten years ago. Alan was a hard-worker and the owner of many different businesses.  He loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by his sister, Jayne Eliopoulos; and his brother, Norman Diamond.  Alan is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Howard Diamond; son, Andrew Diamond and his wife, Patricia of Farmingdale; daughter, Meredith Houston and her husband, Terry of Cherry Hill; grandchildren, Ethan, Mackenzie, Fiona, Kelly and Moira; sisters, Cathy Sullivan and her husband, Barry of Elizabeth, and Joyce Cmiel and her husband, John of Jersey City; and nephew, John Cmiel, Jr. of Jersey City.

All arrangements are private and under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.  Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Diamond may be made to Christian Brothers Academy designated to the Tony Chesney Fund, 850 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738.  A memorial service will be held at a date and location to be determined in the near future.
