Condolences
Donny was one of my favorite human beings when I was on the AMEX during the early 80s. Not only was he one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met, he was also one of the kindest and gentlest soul. He was a great story and joke teller. He loved old movies and always enjoyed my impressions of Burt Lancaster. One time I brought in an Art Tatum album and he reminisced of the jazz clubs in NYC during the 50s. He was of my dad’s generation and even though they never met, my dad would have loved him. Somehow I picture this big Irish lug putting his arm around my dad’s shoulder wherever they both are. He often spoke of his family and loved and enjoyed them very much.
Donald was friends with my dad when they were younger .I met him at the Amex when I worked there. Funny thing is my maiden name is Callahan so when Donald needed me to check on a trade for him he would say hey Callahan it’s Callahan can u help me with this?? What a wonderful man he was.REST IN PEACE
