Obituary of Lena La Bella
Lena La Bella, 83, of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and settled to Jackson in 1963. Prior to retirement, Lena worked in retail for many years and was proud of her independence. Lena enjoyed crocheting and was a master seamstress. She was quick witted and could always make you laugh, even when you were the subject of her wit. Lena enjoyed watching classic movies as well as the Hallmark Channel. Above all, she was a devoted family woman who was passionate about spending quality time with her family.
Lena was predeceased by her husband, Joseph V. La Bella; parents, Antonino and Pauline Reitano; sister, Dorothy Roland; and son-in-law, Leroy Wright. She is survived by her daughters, Joann Wright of Jackson, Concetta La Bella of Freehold, and Toni La Bella of Jackson; grandchildren, Danyale Belloni and her husband, Antonio of Freehold, and Melissa Wright of Louisiana; great grandchildren, Holly, Jasmine, Lacey and Alexis Gault, Mia and Logan Belloni; siblings, Mary Chisena and her husband, Frank of Queens, Antonino Reitano of Jackson, and Teresa Reitano of Queens.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, (Route 524) Freehold Township on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. For those that cannot attend, the family invites you to participate via Webcast through the Funeral Home Website HERE. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. For the safety of the public and our staff, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines. Facemasks will be required. Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood.
