A great memory I have with Dylan was on Central Jersey Travel Lacrosse. Dylan was always ahead of his age skill wise, and begged coach Rivera to allow him to play on the 7/8th grade team which I thought was so awesome. Dylan was also interested in learning how to string sticks, and I’ll never forget when he asked me to help teach him. He sat there for about an hour as I explained the basics. Next year, I was playing lacrosse at Freehold Township high school. Dylan had not only learned how to string sticks twice as good as I ever could, but he felt honored to be the one to string my stick for the 2011 season and messaged me after asking how the stick was performing. I offered him money and he never took it, crediting me for his skill but I knew that was not the case. I know this is such a small memory of the amazing life Dylan lived. His energy was always contagious. He was the most kind, pleasant, yet outgoing and energetic person I have ever met. His energy will live on through everyone he came in contact with, and that’s something that will never dissipate.
It was a Christmas Eve and 8 yr old Dylan and I were sharing an air mattress on the floor in his bedroom. It was well after midnight and everybody in the house was asleep except for Dylan who whispered to me asking if I was awake. He wanted me to go downstairs with him to check on his presents he was sure Santa had left. I said we should just stay here and wait until morning and he continued to try to convince me to sneak downstairs with him. Back and forth, back and forth until we both heard Darcy yell from her bedroom down the hall , "Dylan! Go back to sleep!"...silence. Then, out of the darkness I hear a little voice saying "Thanks a lot Uncle Randy." xo God speed young man Your light will never fade
To the Clamcy family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the passing of Dylan. May the memories his bright smile comfort you during this difficult time. God will be with him.
Sincerely, Maureen, John and Dylan Lloyd
