Dylan Clancy

Obituary of Dylan Christopher Clancy

Dylan Clancy, 23 of Manasquan passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021. He graduated from Cornell University College of Business, Class of 2020 where he was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity. After graduation, Dylan took a position at CoreVest American Finance. He was a graduate of Peddie High School, Class of 2016, where he played on the Varsity Football and Lacrosse teams. Dylan was a fierce soccer, lacrosse, and football player, and was selected to the National Top 50 Under Armour All-American Lacrosse Team. Dylan was also a goalie for the New Jersey State Champion Freehold Phantoms soccer team.

He was a natural leader both on and off the field and had a style uniquely his own. Dylan made friends everywhere, and when he walked into a room Dylan instantly commanded it. People were drawn to Dylan because he was genuine, and they wanted to hear what he was saying and thinking. He loved making others laugh with his wit, smile and jokes, and did it with such grace. Dylan was passionate about music and shared that passion with his friends. Bon Iver, Mumford & Sons and Billy Joel were among some of his favorites. He loved and adored his older brothers and was always doing anything to make them laugh. Time with Dylan was memorable and everyone always walked away with a smile on their face. He took great pride in his heritage and had citizenship in both Ireland and in the United States.

Dylan is survived by his loving parents Patrick and Darcy Clancy of Manasquan; brothers, Ryan Clancy of Charlotte, NC; and Brett Clancy of Manasquan; grandparents, Chris and Con Clancy of Marlton and George and Ruth Irwin of Marlton. He also leaves behind many aunts and uncles, extended family and friends.
