Condolences
Dear Marie & Family, We will always remember Vinnie as the great Coordinator at the family picnics. We loved the Baseball games. Sorry for your loss, Lenny, Nicky & Joey Gurrieri….
Dear Marie & Family, We are so sorry for your loss. Vinnie was an exceptional man, not to mention how funny and crazy he was! He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. With our Deepest Sympathy, Lenny & Terri….❤️
We met Vinnie 6 years ago when we moved into Clearbrook. His sense of humor always kept us laughing and entertained.
He held court at his corner of the pool. According to Vinnie, I was voted in and accepted into the group. Josh,(the Phantom as Vinnie would call him) on the other hand was a different story. He was allowed in at a distance, on probation and finally voted in.
You will be missed but never forgotten.
Rest in peace my friend.
Donna & Josh Jacobs
From the time that we met Vinnie we knew we could be friends. He wore his heart on his sleeve and would give you the shirt off of his back. No pretenses, if he was your friend he was a true friend and we are proud to call him that. You will be missed and never forgotten
Rest in Peace my friend.
Karen and Michael Katz
Dear Marie, Lori, Chris and much loved Grandchildren,
I am so happy for you that you were able to share your lives with such a “great guy.” He loved you all so very much and made this world a better place. We have many wonderful memories from over these many years and we will continue to hold him in our hearts. Love, Rebecca and Carl Gurello
My heart is sadden by the loss of my dear cousin, Vinnie. He was more like a brother than a mere cousin. We grew up in the same crazy house that had rugs in the yard and laughter inside. The laughter was because of him! He always knew how to make people smile. I will always remember watching him play the drums with the Mellowtones and how he would take solos that never ended!
He leaves us with a heavy heart and many happy memories!
He may have grown older, but he never grew up - his light will shine in our hearts forever!
Rest In Peace my dear cousin,
Nancy
We met Vince many years ago when he coached our boys in Little League. The rest is history! We became fast friends and he welcomed us into his family. He was always there to lend a hand and to make you laugh in the process.
Marie & Vince were like two peas in a pod. Where you saw one, the other was right behind and always with smiles on their faces.
Not too long ago, they made a trip to Brooklyn and wanted to stop by to see us. I wasn’t home and didn’t check my phone till they already headed home. I will regret that forever because right after that, Vince got sick.
While we will surely miss you Vince, Heaven just got a little brighter with your presence. The jokes will be infinite! Marie, may God help you through this terrible time as we know how much you will feel Vince’s absence, but know that he will be with you always. You will have all your wonderful memories to give you comfort and bring a smile to your face.
Vince, you will forever have a special place in our hearts. Rest in the sweetest peace.
With All Our Love,
Laura, Michael, Michael and Steven Mayo
There are losses that truly make your heart ache. The loss of our wonderful friend is such a time. Reading all the loving remembrances covers it all. Vin was a beautiful person with a loving heart and he will be dearly missed.
Thanks for the memories my friend,
Terry and Pat
Pop pop, you were a really amazing person and I am so honored that I got to have you in not only my life but in my family. Your little jokes you always made were the best and brought a smile to so many people’s faces. I loved when you always air drummed your heart out, and whenever you stained your white shirts. So many memories were made with you and you were definitely a staple in everyone’s life. You made the best grandpa, dad, friend, and person in general. We love you so much Pop Pop.
From all of the funny comments, the classic air drumming, and talking about how you have “Ketchup and Mustard” colored shirts, I’ve loved spending time with you. Growing up and making memories in your house has been amazing and it won’t be the same without you there. Thank you for all the laughs and memories you’ve given me that I will cherish forever. I couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful, funnier, or better Pop Pop in my life. I love you so much, I know you’re up there in heaven banging those drums!!

Too many memories ... where do I begin. Cousin, more like a brother to Rico, friend, partner in crime, and the Leader of our Pack..what do we do without our Vinny at our gatherings, family get together, evenings out, etc. etc. He definitely was one of a kind. He was loved by all and treasured by all. He could make a sad moment into one of hysterics..He had a love for life, for people and he saw humor in any situation..and that was only one of his outstanding traits...he will be missed beyond words but we were so happy to have spent so many years with him enjoying every day to the Max..my friends adored him. My children looked up to him with admiration and respect And sometimes bewilderment..
Marie, Lori, Chris, Lauren, Olivia and Bella remember you were always his audience and he loved you guys the best. He is probably up in heaven with his new fan club.
We were so lucky to call Vinny our cousin and friend and will miss him beyond words..We will continue telling stories of Vinny and his antics Forever...Marie, we love you and our hearts hurt for your loss. We are only a phone call away whenever you need us..So glad we were able to visit him a few weeks ago..Love you. Phyllis and Rico

We are both devastated by the loss of Vinnie - he was most definitely one of a kind. From the day we met over fifty years ago on the terrace on 16th Avenue there was an instant connection. Whether we were all sitting around your dining room table on Bay 11th playing Facts in Five or Boggle or if he and Chip were putting up your wallpaper upside down or entering a "Beauty Contest" at Pleasant Acres, there was always laughter that sometimes could bring us to tears. I remember the four of us going to the Poconos and seeing a stage show of the "Newlywed Game". Of course, Vinnie was chosen to go on stage and he had the audience in stitches -- he did the comedian's work for him! Vinnie never shied away from the spotlight no matter what. Chip and I are sure he has started a new fan club and is still being his entertaining, engaging self. Lori, Chris, Lauryn, Olivia, Bella and Anthony he loved you with all his heart and will always be with you in spirit. Vin, we will miss you terribly and, Marie, we will always be here for you.
Love, Chip & Patty
Dear Lori, I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you were very close to your father. For you and all those who loved Vincent, I hope you can easily remember the good times, and that those memories will bring you peace. I'm so glad that Vincent is no longer suffering. My condolences to all. Beth Mayers
We met Vinnie six years ago when we moved into our community. From the time we met him, we knew he was a special person, full of life, love and laughter.
Our "Crazy Corner at the pool will never be the same, and anytime you were with Vinnie you knew there would be nonstop laughter and good times.
Our heartfelt condolences to Marie and family. We were truly blessed to know him.
Rest in peace, my friend.
Love,
Tina and Alan Balaban
There are no words to describe how much his presence in the girls’ or my life will be missed. He was the world’s best Grandpa and Pop-Pop. You couldn’t help but smile while being in his presence. He is so loved and we will miss him immensely. I’m so sorry I can’t be there to honor his amazing life, but know I’m always here to support you all. With love and sincerest condolences to all, Cheryl
Dear Marie and family
So sorry to hear about Vinnie. He was such a fun and loving guy to all. Our whole family remembers him for our annual family picnics, which he ran and organized with such flair and enthusiasm. But my best memory was running into you guys on a cruise and watching this amazing man dance and party with the whole crowd. He truly loved and touched all he met. We will all miss him and remember him fondly .
Love Anthony and Rosemary Gurrieri
Dear Marie and family,
So sorry for your loss. Vinny will always be remembered in our hearts for the fun loving, entertaining , and caring human being he was to all of us. We have great memories at our annual picnics. What does Vinny have planned this year? What gifts will he bring for the kids? Will he play Simon says? Will he have a gifts for the oldest, youngest, who traveled the furthest? Remembers everyone and included us all (even if we didn't want to)
Vinny - Simon Says! - Rest in Peace and continue entertaining in heaven!
