Obituary of Vincent J. Nasta
Vincent J. “Vinnie” Nasta, 80, of Monroe passed away at The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, July 26, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Edison before settling in Monroe in 2003. Vinnie worked in the restaurant supply and sales industry and was credited for helping design the corporate cafeterias for large companies such as Madison Square Garden and Merck Pharmaceuticals. If you were lucky enough to be one of Vinnie’s customers, you were his customer for life. A true people pleaser, he could win you over with his charm and humor. In his downtime he could be found fishing, whether on a boat or at the shore. He took peace enjoying the tranquility of mother natures' work around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Marie Nasta; his two children, Lori Nasta of Ewing and Christopher Nasta of Arizona; three grandchildren, Lauryn Peterson and her husband, Anthony, Olivia Nasta, and Isabella Nasta.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:30PM with his memorial service to follow. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vinnie’s memory can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
