I’m sad to say my moms oldest sister, our Aunt Ann passed peacefully with family by her bedside and some of us by near and far getting to say their goodbyes thanks to modern technology. Aunt Ann was full of wisdom and lots of stories about her life. Aunt Ann started her life in 1929 as a depression baby. She was a very metropolitan lady. She was employed by the Navy and worked for the United States Customs Agency. She had a love for opera and was a member of the Metropolitan opera guild . Aunt Ann gave us all a appreciation of the arts and made sure each of us had a bit of culture. We were each taken to the ballet, broadway show or Opera. I was fortunate to see the Opera Carmen and the Magic Flute. Each of us have had our special time with Aunt Ann. My mom and I feel as though she was like a second Mother. A very strong lady. Yet so soft and compassionate at the same time. Although the last 2 years were treacherous at times, especially not being able to see her for over a year she never complained. She was appreciatative for anything and everything my Mom, Denise and I did for her, and it was a pleasure to do so. She meant the world to us all and thought of each of us as her children. The world has lost a wonderful lady. But we are fortunate to have her for a long life. She is with her Mom, Dad ( whom she was the apple of his eye) her bestie sister Diane, her niece and angel Celeste and her sister in law Alice and many more. We take comfort in that but I will miss her like crazy. Aunt Ann it was a pleasure helping you and I would do it again and again. Until we meet again Love ya, Loren
