Condolences
I am saddened to hear of Dr. O'Scanlons passing. I have known his family for over 45 years and have such fond memories of him that just remembering his benevolent personality brings a smile to my face. He was a positive role model and influence in the lives of myself and my contemporaries, and I always understood why his children were so proud to call him Father. Please accept our condolences.
While it has been decades since our families have been in contact I look back fondly on Declan and the O'Scanlons. My father enjoyed a collegial professional relationship with Declan all the way back to Marlboro and up through Riverview.
And because of this I have so many childhood memories of our families socializing....Just recently we discovered my old bar mitzvah video and we got a kick out of watching Declan cut the rug on the dance floor.
I was saddened to find out that he passed recently. My mother and I send our sincere condolences to Carol, Sean, Declan Jr., and Jennifer. May Declan's memory be a blessing.

Dear Carol, Declan Jr, Jen and Sean,
My deepest sympathies.
I have very fond memories of Declan as a friend as well as a physician. After 40+ years of this friendship, I still hear his Irish Brogue in my head which will always bring a smile to my face.

My condolences to the O'Scanlon family. I had the pleasure of knowing Declan for many years while he worked at Riverview Medical Center. He was a fine man and will be missed.
Over many ears I did have the honor of speaking with Dr. O'Scanlon and experienced him as a pragmatic psychiatrist with both an eye on the science and concern for the humanity of those he cared for. Those few encounters always promoted thought and thus inspiration for my own work. My condolences to friends and family that were honored to know him better than I.
Dear Jen and the entire Oscanlon family,
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Hoping you find strength in this time of tremendous loss.
Melissa Card-Wrobel and family
Dear Sean and his family-- condolences. I am very sorry on the lose of your dear father and family member.
May all his blessings be always with all of you.
