Obituary of Joseph A. Louro
Joseph A. Louro, 86, of Wall passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 29, 2021. He was born, raised and lived in Jersey City, moved to Freehold Township in 1964 and settled here in 2008. Joe was a career developer who was inducted into the New Jersey Builders Hall of Fame, and was a three time past President of the Shore Builders Association, the only member to achieve that accolade. He was one of the founding members and past President of the Freehold Township Little League, as well as a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine where he was instrumental in the construction of the new church. A devout Catholic, Joe’s deep faith carried him through losing his wife and three children.
An avid Yankee fan, Joe loved playing cards, and had a regular Friday night game with friends from Freehold. His greatest pride was his large and loving family. Joe will be best remembered for his sense of humor and the laughter that followed him everywhere he went. He always had a joke and brought joy to others. Joe was an amazing husband, father, Pop-Pop, Great Pop-Pop, friend and life of the party - he was the best of all things.
Joe was predeceased by his loving wife, Frances M. Louro; sons, Dr. John Louro and Dr. Jeffrey Louro; daughter, Jean Marie Louro; and daughter-in-law, Vickie Lynn Louro.
