I wish I could see you one more time

Come walking through the door

But I know that is impossible

I will hear your voice no more

I know you can feel my tears

And you don't want me to cry

Yet my heart is broken because

I cant understand

Why someone so precious had to die

I pray that God will give me strength

And somehow get me through

As I struggle with heartache

The angels gathered near your side

So very close to you

For they knew the pain

That you were going through

I thought about so many things

As I held tightly to your hand

Oh how I wish you were strong

And happy once again

But your eyes were looking onward

To that place beyond the sky

Where Jesus held his outstretched arms

It was time to say goodbye

I struggled with my thoughts

For I wanted you to stay

So we could walk and talk again

Like we just did, two months ago

But Jesus knew the answer
