Condolences
So incredibly sorry for your and your family’s loss, Cindy.
My favorite memory of Roger was when he would have a dental appointment but was overdue and his teeth were almost spotless. He’d sit there and grin with a “who needs to come in every 6 months?”
Prayers of Comfort, Peace, and Strength to all of you.

The Lakes are heartbroken for Cindy, Roger IV, Katie, Tara and Chris.....and the entire Cooney family. Such great memories of our childhood shenanigans at family gatherings....and then welcoming the amazing Cindy into the clan. What a beautiful, loving family you made, Rog.
I'm thinking of Aunt Janet and Uncle Roger, Rhoda Mary, Mom and Dick welcoming Roger to heaven.... and of course, Grandma Kay.
So much love, Steph, Dave, Billy, and Uncle Bill
The honor and privilege of being Roger’s friend was all ours. He will live forever in our memories and in our hearts. A beautiful smiling - handsome man who brightened up every round, conversation and party. A warm caring and wise friend and a true “character” most times. Roger was a special blessing in our lives. JD and Anne send our sincerest condolences to his beautiful beloved Cindy, and their precious family who he loved sharing stories, pictures and was so very proud …Until we meet again,,,‘Twas heaven here with you!”
My most deepest condolences to Cindy and the rest of the Cooney family..Roger was "Our Roger" ..our boss and our great and dear friend. Someone you could always count on. Roger always had a great story to share. It was always a pleasure working with Roger and he would share and teach us all about the business. Many wonderful memories..great group conversations..and always a great joke to make us laugh. Very fair, patient and genuine..Roger's singing and occasional skip dance during karaoke or a sing he liked would make the night. I thank Roger for all the support he gave us throughout the years and for always being so cool...calm and collective.. Rest in peace my dear friend..you will be sorely...sorely missed and will forever be in all our hearts
Roger “Coondog” Cooney was a great guy. I knew him for a number of years and he always treated me with respect and class. We also had some fun on the golf course more than a few times. He was a good golfer and even better guy. He will be missed and although I haven’t seen him in a few years, I would always ask about him when I went into the old bar. Sometimes it was OK news and other times not so ok. The bottom line is that Roger touched a lot of us and he will never be forgotten. Thanks for the good times Coondog and Rest In Peace.

Roger was a great guy and someone I used to frequently talk to at his place of business. RIP my good friend.
My mind just can not wrap around the fact that our very own Roger Cooney has passed away. I had so much to tell you. Things that would have made you laugh. Things that would have made you say, “you can’t make this shit up” or “you can’t fix stupid”.
How do I say goodbye to someone that I had the utmost respect for? To someone who I was always able to rely on? Someone who always gave me the best advise? Someone who would be able to calm me down? Me being I’m so high strung and him being so calm, cool and collective? Someone who was an amazing boss and an incredible friend/family? I don’t know how, but I will because Rog always wanted the very best for me and for everyone.
I want to thank you Rog. Thank you for all your teachings. For always being so fair and understanding. For being so so forgiving. For always making Cooney’s a happy place with your singing and whistling.
You always manage to do it “your way” and it worked so great. “Fly to the moon” and beyond Rog. Soar and fly high. It sure sucks for the loved ones you leave behind, but after all “that’s life.” Please protect and guide us all. God Bless your beautiful, amazing family. May God give them all the strength to endure this awful tragedy.
We love you Rog! Love you long time! Until we meet again. Rest In Peace.
My deepest condolences to the Cooney Family. I have fond memories of Roger being from the neighborhood and going to school together in both grammar school and high school. He will be greatly missed.
So sorry to hear of the loss of a good man!
I met Rodger many years ago when I walked in to play my numbers and make purchase.
He would always greet me with a "How's it goin". We often discussed the outcome of a Giants game whether they won or loss, lol.
I didn't know him well enough to say I was a good friend, but I knew he was a good man by the way he carried himself and took the time to talk to you. That's what a friend does.
May God keep him by his side and Bless You All !!
He will be in all of our prayers.
Our condolences to Roger’s family. Great high school memories. Rest in peace classmate.

So many great times, so many great memories! Roger was a big part of my life during my most impressionable years and helped shaped who I am today. Geography and the passage of time robbed us of fresh memories as we grew older, but never diminished the bond. Rest in peace my friend, my brother… you live on in all of us!
