Condolences
MY NAME IS DAVID SCHMIERER, I WORKED WITH BILL AT NJSP. BILL WAS ONE OF THE BEST DAMN HUMAN BEINGS. I HONESTLY MISS HIM EVERYDAY. LOOSING HIM HAS BEEN ONE OF THE HARDEST THINGS FOR ME. WE HAVE LOST TO MANY GREAT OFFICERS AT A EARLY AGE. BILL MADE ME LAUGH MY ASS OFF ONE DAY SO BAD THAT I THREW UP IN A BUCKET IN THE ROTUNDA. BILL WAS AT WORK AND HE GAVE SERGEANT TYSON WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF US TWO DOUBLE MIDDLE FINGERS LIKE A FISHING REEL IN A FRIENDLY BILL WAY. I DON'T KNOW ANYBODY ELSE THAT CAN DO IT LIKE HIM. BILL WAS A FUNNY MOTHER FUCKER. EXCUSE MY LANGUAGE PLEASE. I DON'T USUALLY CURSE. JUST TELLING YOU LIKE IT WAS. HE WAS A LIGHT THAT BURNED BRIGHT AS STAR IN THE SKY. HE WAS GENUINE AND AS EVERYBODY KNOWS HE WOULD HELP YOU ANYTIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT. I WOULD OF WALKED THROUGH ONE OF HIS HUGE BON FIRES FOR HIM. I KNOW HE LOVED HIS FAMILY. BILL AND I WOULD TALK ABOUT OUR FAMILIES AND HE WAS VERY PROUD OF HIS FAMILY. HE LOVED HIS BROTHERS VERY,VERY, VERY MUCH AND HIS WIFE, DAUGHTER AND HIS SON. BILL WE WILL MEET AGAIN AND WHEN WE DO I WILL KICK YOUR ASS. I LOVE YOU FOREVER MY BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER LOL DAVID
So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We were neighbors for a while in Sutton Village. He was a great guy. Played often with my puppy and was always willing to help with anything. My sincere condolences. Mary Gilsenan Barrett

Brett & Kathy Stevens
My deepest condolences to you, Ed, and your entire family on the loss of your brother. There are times when there are too few words left to heal us, when what we wish for is to be carried, when all we have left is the hope that tomorrow will be a more gentle place to land than today. It may not mean a lot but I hope my words of condolence can help bring you some comfort at this time. ~ Amy Drake
Amanda…I am so very sorry for you and your families loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Take care

My sincere condolences to the entire Whittaker family on this very sad occasion! I recently "re-connected" with Billy at the Beacon 70 marina...and we had many, many laughs about all his time at Land O' Pines School. I fondly remember him (and his brother, Paul, and Mom) during their years at LOP ! I'm shocked to learn of his passing! Sending lots and lots of "LOP Pirate Spirit" to be with Billy, and his entire family during this time. So sad, indeed. Mr. T. :(
Renee, Amanda, and William,

Billy,
A kind person and a loyal friend. We didn’t get to see you(and the family) as often as we would have liked as lives tend to get in the way however we will never forget your awesome smile and laughter. You were always the friend that helped everyone out, so many kind things you did for us will always be remembered. We were hoping to one day get another concert, boat ride, or BBQ in but it wasn’t mean’t to be.; we are so sad to know we will no longer have that option.
George is devastated, he treasured you as his friend of 20+ years from the very beginning of your career in law enforcement until you left us; he will miss you forever.
Renee and kids;
You all our in our thoughts and prayers. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.
With Love,
The Virgilio Family
So many memories of Billy hanging out with my brother & their crew. His initials are still carved into the curb next to John’s in front of our parent’s home. His smile could get him out of any trouble they got into. Be at peace Billy
