Obituary of William Whittaker
William Whittaker, 49, of Howell passed away at home on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Bill was born in Boston, MA, and raised in Hingham, MA and Howell, NJ. He worked as a corrections officer for the New Jersey State Department of Corrections and was currently serving on the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Bill was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Farmingdale and a member of the New Egypt Elks Lodge #2457. A true outdoorsman, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bill was known by both his friends and family for his willingness to drop whatever he was doing to help anyone in need. His greatest treasure was his family. Whether it was a camping trip, day out on his boat Slick Willie, or sporting event, Bill treasured time with Renee, Amanda, and William.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, who have been together for 26 years, Renee Whittaker; daughter, Amanda Whittaker; son, William Whittaker; parents, Paul and Ellen Whittaker of Whiting; brothers, Paul Whittaker and his wife, Jennifer of Galloway Township, and Edward Whittaker and his wife, Saundra of Jacksonville; in-laws, Anthony and Sheila Infante of Farmingdale; two sisters-in-law, Francine Gagliano and her husband, John of Howell, and Erica Neill and her husband, Harry of Pt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM with his funeral service to follow.
