Condolences
Cousin John was genuine - his care and concern for others before himself was incredibly special. He helped my grandparents with anything and everything and we were all always grateful for his time and effort. We enjoyed spending holidays and special occasions together and I have very fond memories from the farm as well as our trip to Washington, DC. Sending our love and condolences to Liz.
John was a wonderful and kind friend. He had passion in all that he did. My deepest heartfelt sympathy to Liz and family! May you always treasure your memories in your heart. God be with you in this time of sadness. Love Donna Lembo
I had the pleasure of serving on the BCC Alumni Association board of directors with John for many years. I will always cherish what John brought to the table during those years on the Alumni Association.
My condolences to John's family and friends. God Bless
John was such a lovable man. I am blessed to have known him. He set a proud example for me in the importance of land preservation. I love when he called me Uncle Elaine. You will be sorely missed. Peace

Served at 8th & I on the USMC Drill Team and worked with John at Midlantic Bank
I met John many years ago, through mutual friends, when I was living in Hazlet, NJ. There came a time when I needed to go to work & it was John that introduced me to Brookdale Community College. That started a career for me & I was able to retire from there in 1995 after 25 years. For that I am & will be eternally grateful.
Thank you John, May you Rest In Peace
On behalf of the members of the United States Naval Academy Class of 1964 13th Company, our heart felt condolences go out to John's spouse and family. He will remain in our memories forever.

John was many things to many people. He was a tireless campaigner, veteran, elected official, loving friend and husband to Liz. He was the godfather of land preservation in Howell knowing that keeping the farms in Howell was the key to keeping it green and a great place to live. He was a fighter to the end. NO GREATER FRIEND, NO WORSE ENEMY. Semper Fi my friend.
Dear Liz, we are so sorry John has left us: we could always count on a positive attitude, hard work, respect for all,and good humor from him. Sad we couldn’t all do one more dinner with the group, but know it was tough. Wishing him rest and peace, and you now have a grateful angel watching over you. Sincerely, Gerri and Jim.
Sincere condolences. I was a student at Brookdale College and would see John in the office. He was a great person. Always helpful, upbeat and funny. I remember him fondly.
Cousin John meant the world to me. He was always present and helped raise me during the summers I spent at my grandparents' farm. Tough, stoic, kind, generous- they truly broke the mold with John Costigan. I'm better for having known him and for all of the lessons he taught me. Rest in peace and Semper Fi, John.
My sincere condolences. A true gentleman and a scholar. He touched more lives than you know. He will live on in many hearts. Semper fi my friend.
