Obituary of Renee Schulman
Renee Schulman, 85, of Monroe passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at home. Renee was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn. Along with her husband, she moved to Monroe, NY then to Howell, NJ before settling in the Monroe Village Community in 2014 where they were involved member of the community. Renee was always on the move, either volunteering for Meals on Wheels, the thrift store, or the assistant editor to the newsletter. Being social was what she was. Renee loved the arts, painting or drawing or even knitting. She was a former Brownies leader and had a green thumb in the garden with her flowers and vegetables. Renee took great pleasure in dancing with her husband, whom they were married for over 64 years meeting when she was 16. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother, adoring great-grandmother, and caring sister.
Renee was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Schulman; daughter, Cathy Schear; son-in-law, Robert F. Schear, Jr.; granddaughter, Danielle Thibodeau; and brother, Lawrence Berman. She is survived by her three children, Debbie O’Rourke and her husband, Tom of Martinez, GA, Donna Rubin and her husband, Allan of Princeton, and Kitt Schulman and his wife, Sondra of Adelphia; six grandchildren, Dan Hansen and his wife, Denise, Robert Schear, Andrew Schear, Sharon O’Rourke, Eli Rubin, and Jonah Rubin; four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Brittany, Deana, and Christopher; and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held at Beth Olam Memorial Park, 1235 Route 70, Lakewood, NJ 08701 on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 2:30 PM.
