Obituary of Peter Calandrino

Peter Calandrino, 69, of Howell passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  He was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn, NY before settling here in 1993.  Peter worked as a phlebotomist at Family Practice of NJ in Hightstown for over 15 years. Prior to that he was a dedicated employee at Connie’s Pizzeria in Sheepshead Bay. He was an avid reader who loved exotic cars, jazz music and relaxing.  Known by many as Uncle Pete, he imparted words to live by that we should all follow….be kind and take five minutes to talk to someone. 

Peter was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Laura Calandrino.  He is survived by his brother, Michael Calandrino and his partner, Lydia Bleiberg of Brooklyn, NY, and his sister, Theresa Hernandez and her husband, Mike of Howell; two nieces, Linda Castro and her husband, Sean, and Maria Gadosky and her husband, Thomas, all of Howell; three nephews, Michael Calandrino, Nicholas Calandrino, and Michael Hernandez; three great nephews; and three great nieces.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
