Obituary of Anthony M. Del Aversano

Anthony M. Del Aversano, 69, of Freehold Township passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.  He was born and raised in Trenton, and settled here over forty years ago.  Anthony graduated from Steinert High School where he earned the distinction of being Captain of his football team.  He worked as the Director of Culinary Services for Sunrise Kitchen where he ran the specialty food division. A true Italian who was proud of his heritage, he loved cooking, especially making Sunday gravy.   Above all, he treasured his family. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Mary Del Aversano; and his brother, Michael Del Aversano.  Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Catherine Del Aversano; children, Katherine Farrell and her husband, Brian, and Anthony Del Aversano; grandchildren, Sadie Farrell and Jack Farrell; sister, Joanne Keck; cousins, Judy Peraino and Grace Mazzatelli; and many loving family members and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with his memorial service to follow.  In Lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Anthony may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  For information, directions, or to leave condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
