John was a big part of my childhood. He made sure I knew how to swim and our pool basketball games were epic. I was always thrilled when he and Patty came home at the holidays. I can remember going to stay with them in Latham, taking Snooper for walks at the school, and the look on his face when he found out Patty took me to get my ears pierced always makes me giggle.
