Condolences
I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with “Burnsy” at BlackRock and considered him a great person and a quality human being. He was genuine in his interactions with others and beloved by all of his colleagues. I will miss him dearly. - Joel

Sorry to hear Michael passed, my sincere condolences to his family and to Carol & Don
Mike and I first met at Risden's Beach in Point Pleasant when we were probably 5 or 6 years old. We lost touch when he moved to the other side of Brick, but he wound up living with some of my best friends while at Rowan. That was when our friendship picked up again. From that time on, we became great friends. I can't tell you how many good times and outrageous laughs we've had together. From Mets and Giants games, to bachelor parties in Vegas, to weddings, to comedy shows, to horseshoe tournaments, to boat trips, to just sitting in the basement watching football and quoting movies (definitely quoting movies) - there are just so many great memories. He was the one who told all of us about Sebastian Maniscalco before the world found out about him (true story). When I won tickets to the Super Bowl in 2010, Mike and I went to Miami with Chris Casale & Dan Araujo for what turned out to be one of the greatest trips in history! We got into the ESPN Next party when I posed as a professional soccer player and we spent the night hanging out with professional athletes, ESPN personalities, and celebrities - it was unreal!
As thankful as I am for these memories, I will also cherish the quiet conversations - talking about life, family, and faith. Mike would always joke about my relationship with "Mr. Jesus", but he also became more spiritual through his journey & battle. Through it all, Mike was strong & courageous. Through it all, Mike implored all of us to "get out there and live life"...to "get it all". I admire him for his strength, perseverance, and courage. I admire him for the value he placed on family and friendship. I miss him more than words can articulate, but I know I will see him again one day in Heaven.
I pray that Jamie, his children, Justin, and all his family & friends will be comforted, supported, and sustained by the Lord and each other during what will undoubtedly be a difficult time of mourning. I love you, Mike.
