Obituary of Robert Costello
Robert “Big Daddy” Costello, 64, a lifelong resident of Howell passed away suddenly on June 18, 2022 at Phoenixville Hospital, Pennsylvania. He was the owner of R. Costello Construction, Howell for over 15 years. Robert was a member of the Lakewood Elks Lodge #1432. Always ready for a good time, He enjoyed going to concerts and was an avid New York Giants fan. Robert was known for his tailgating parties. Whatever “Big Daddy” did he was always the life of the party. He loved cooking and best known for his soup. Spending time with his family and friends was what he looked forward to the most. His special gift to them was always being able to make them smile and laugh. To honor his memory the family requests that the next time you have a cold drink you think of him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edward, and Margaret Costello. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Trudy Costello of Howell; son, Robert W. Costello; siblings, Margaret Rhodes and her husband, John of Pennsylvania, Edward Costello and his wife, MaryJane of Little Egg Harbor, Mary Ann Hurley of Forked River, and Theresa Ziegenbalg and her husband, William of Toms River; four Sisters in law, Cheryl Johnson and her husband, Charles of Jackson, Donna Cavanaugh and her husband, Andrew of Neptune, Diane Trushell and her husband, Jim of Howell and Cristie Walsh of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Interment will be private.
