Obituary of Abram S. Conk

Abram S. Conk, 83, of Freehold passed away peacefully surrounded by his three children on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  He was born in Long Branch and was a lifelong resident of Freehold.  Abe served proudly in the US Navy as an airman and was honorably discharged.  He later worked as a school bus driver for the Freehold Township Board of Education for 25 years. He was also a founding and life member of the Freehold Independent Fire Company #1 where he served since 1963.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ada Conk; and two brothers, Edwin Conk and Howard Conk.  Abe is survived by his son, Abram S. Conk, Jr. of Manchester; two daughters, Adrianne Violett and her husband, Thomas of Farmingdale and Marianne Pratt and her husband, Douglas of Goose Creek, SC; and six grandchildren, Dennis Atherton and his wife, Mariah, Jillian Andrus and her husband, Anthony, Sarah Jane Violett, Michael Pratt, Rachael Violett and Katharina Rose Conk; four great grandchildren, Kamden Atherton, Aubrey Atherton, Austin Andrus and Luke Andrus; and sister, Earlene Gordon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM Memorial Service at the Bethesda United Methodist Church, 928 Adelphia Road, Adelphia, NJ on Friday, August 19, 2022.  Inurnment will be in Brigadier General William C.
