Obituary of Kenneth J. Koharki

Kenneth J. Koharki, 74, of Freehold passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at home with his wife by his side. He was born in Somerville and raised in Manville. Kenneth then moved back to Somerville in 1975 and moved to Raritan Township in 1985 before settling in Freehold in 2017. He worked as a Probation Officer for many years and Johnson & Johnson Ethicon, Mic, and Cordis as Director of Human Resources. In retirement, he worked for RE/MAX Preferred Professionals. Kenneth loved the beach and would often go fishing in his spare time. Above all, he was a devoted husband, loving father, and an amazing grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his beloved, Elizabeth Koharki of Freehold; daughter, Kimberly Severson and her husband, Eric of Lincroft; grandchildren, Orin and June of Lincroft; brother, Richard Koharki and his wife, Chris of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Maryann Stutzel and her husband, Martin of Easton, PA; and in-laws, Meghan Kelly and her husband, Patrick of Somerville, Paul Maxwell and his wife, Kim of Flagtown, Deborah Petrosky and her husband, Jim of Pittstown, Peter Maxwell of Long Branch, and Kim Doody and her husband, Ed of Manahawkin.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 3:00 to 6:45 PM with his memorial service to follow. Interment will be private.
