Obituary of Jonathan T. Balsamo

Jonathan T. Balsamo, 30, of Spotswood passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.  John was born in Manhattan and lived in Brooklyn till the age of 3.  He was raised in Manalapan and was a graduate of Communications High School in Wall.  John played golf for Freehold Township High School.  He graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.  Most recently, John had worked for Lockheed Martin and HDR architecture engineering.  With the calling of the outdoors, he enjoyed hiking, freshwater fishing and running, especially 5-K’s.  John enjoyed pick-up basketball games, late night gaming with friends and was a loyal Eagles fan.  Music was a passion of his and was skilled at playing his Les Paul guitar. 

John is survived by his parents, Gerard J. and Patricia Balsamo; brother, Gerard T. Balsamo and his fiancée, Lyndsey Barber; and his best friend, Nicholas Amado.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM.  Interment will be private.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
