Condolences
Unfortunately, I just learned of Bernie's passing. The last I was in contact with Bernie was in January, when he told me about his condition. Bernie was a fun, kind, warm, funny and brilliant man. I grew to know and love Bernie through our song writing sessions at the Lakehouse Music Academy. He was a fabulous lyricist. My favorite of his songs was the one where subject of the song gets lost in Kentucky and ends up in a church where people are passing snakes around. We shared great times with Bernie and Ann in Bonita Springs, FL, too. Bernie's passing leaves a huge void for all who knew and loved him. Keep writing those wonderful songs, Bernie. Rest in peace, my friend.
I'm so sorry Bernie I had to leave to see to the family - You told me God brought to you and Ann for a reason. It was not in my sole interest to leave. It was short but our relationship was unparalleled to the "others". We chat, we laughed and Mum would wonder what we were talking about. Everytime we spoke about some of the cultural differences in our families you laughed so hard. You advised me on staying true and keep being the man that you had met. I saw you as my father so I called your wife Mum. I was praying to return soon to continue being your morning-man, who is gonna respond to our shouts "Let's Go! Let's Go!! Let's Go!!!". I shall remain the Wisdom you loved and to Mum and Mary.
We take consolation in God's word that you are in a better place.
God keep you in His bosom. Love Wisdom!
Godspeed Bernie. It was truly a blessing to have known you and spend time with you during our song circles. No one could craft a story and blend it with the perfect melody as you so often did. Rest in Peace, my friend, you will be sorely missed. May God hold you in the palm of his hand, forever.
My heart goes out to you Bernie. I have so many memories of our times spent working on your songs and sharing great stories. Swapping song suggestions our favorite songwriters. Your words of wisdom always came at the right time and I will always cherish them and the laughs that followed. God Bless you my friend. Keep writing ! With Love. Vic Della Pello
Bernie, It is so sad that you had to suffer with such a horrific disease. You certainly did not deserve it. You will be missed by all who loved you. You have been a wonderful husband and grandfather to Ann and her kids and grandkids. I so thank you for that. I will miss our talks as you always had good advice for me. So happy you went peacefully. Love Joanne.
