Nana was the best of all us. From her days as head nurse at NYU hospital maternity ward to being the matriarch of the family, Nana loved and took care of us all. Nana was always there at all the grandkids events, births, birthdays, and holidays. She was always the first one there bringing chicken wrapped bacon and the special gift for whom the celebration was being held in honor of. At Christmas, there were gingerbread cookies, special hand knitted Christmas stockings with an orange and scratch off lotto tickets and of course share relished being able to get each grandchild that elusive toy every year! Nana was one of the most patriotic Americans I knew, her love of fireworks was nearly religious. Another passion of Nanas was recording everything, a grandchild’s birth, vacations, to nearly dropping the camcorder at the Vatican atop the Dome to get the perfect shot, and many many more events. As a left handed genius, she was unmatched at scrabble and words with friends. Her artistic side of painting and crafting was evident throughout her life. I appreciated her idea of wearing a suit of armor to propose to Tracy. Nana was always kind, polite and gave sound advise. Her love of all her children and grandchildren was unparalleled. She had the amazing ability to make each of us feel like we were her favorite. Nana we love you forever and you will be missed.
Love your son-in-law
