Dear Mrs. Joan Margherita…
To describe “Mrs. M.” using just one word… ‘Charisma’.
During the years that the ‘Staten Island’ Margherita’s and Petraglia’s ended-up spending our Summers together, at the ‘Driftstone on The Delaware Campground’, remind me of the movies, ‘Easy Money’, and ‘Family Vacation’
…Fun, funny, and funnier.
‘Mrs. M.’, as we Petraglia boys respectfully called you, I remember your laugh being infectious; your personality; charismatic. I remember the campfires at our families’ campsites, and the many conversations between everyone, while sitting around those campfires…
The cool Poconos evening air and the smell of the campfires...The strolls that we all took, to and from the campground’s ‘barn’…Canoeing and boating…The owners of ‘Driftstone’; The Ackerman family…
Great memories and laughs that money couldn’t buy.
These are the memories that I keep.
…It’s not about ‘how’ we pass, or ‘when’ we pass…
It’s about how we’ve lived our lives within our earthly-physical-body; our ‘frame’; our ‘shell’.
It’s been said, that; our bodies don’t ‘have’ souls, but -instead; we ‘ARE’ souls -We ‘have’ bodies. Our earthly physical bodies are just ‘frames’…are just ‘shells’.
Our souls are something intangible and magical, and ‘that’ is our legacy.
There ‘will’ be a reunion with her and “Mr. M.”, one day. Until that day, know that her spirit is always surrounding all of you, because the spiritual bond of love that you all share with her, is eternal.
…It’s a ‘soul contract’.
I’ll see ya’ later, ‘Mrs. M.’!
God bless you and Mr. M.!
Warmly,
Christopher Petraglia
