To the one and only Nenie:

From day one I enjoyed being your favorite. You always were my kindest and proudest fan. I had always heard about people who saw the world through rose-colored glasses, and then I met you who figurative and literally saw the world through them. The memories of all the family functions with you along with Wally Nanny and Barney were too many to count. You know you will be missed terribly. I never want to say good bye so rest in pease until we meet again.

Nenie was my sister who had a heart

of gold,

Her love surpassed the highest mountain and was never put on hold.

She loved her home in Breezy and the beach, you would find her there And when at her house, her adoration for cats would appear.

Her unyielding love for family has been on display for years,

But now the end of her dynasty has brought us all to tears.

My Nenie,

I will miss you so so dearly. I will never forget all of our memories that we’ve shared. I will miss going to Breezy Point for any holiday function that you and Wally invited us to. The lollipops were the absolute BEST, as well as the cherry Italian ices!!! Every holiday won’t be the same without you, especially Christmas. Every year, all of us got a special ornament that said our name, year, and from Nenie. Another thing you would ask me each year is what my favorite perfume was and she would get it. I will also miss waking up every morning and taking us both around to get coffee or whatever we both wanted. I also will never forget you treating me to the Cheesecake Factory on my 23rd Birthday when you stopped every waiter and waitress to tell them it was my birthday. You cared so much about all of us in the family and wanted to make us feel special. When I got my very first job out of college to go sing and dance on a cruise ship, she gave me the biggest hug and told me all the places I should get off and travel to.

Nenie, we all love you and will miss you so much. I will cherish every moment we’ve had together. I love you Nenie.

My Great Aunt Nenie who holds a special place in my heart! You always made sure I had the biggest grin on my face 24/7! Especially, when I was way younger you always would give me those lollipops. Then you put all your trust in me to go hand them out to everyone. Then to more recently when you and I were watching your great great niece Juliet and we all spent the night watching movies together. You loved all the movies I would pick. You always especially loved any Adam Sandler or Jennifer Aniston movie. I only have the best memories with you. You are the light to everyone. I love you forever and ever Nenie! To my beautiful aunt- “NENIE”,

You are missed and will never be forgotten.

My most precious memories throughout my life have you in them. You were so kind and made us all smile. You were the epitome of the word FAMILY. Every holiday you were right there taking photos and coordinating the gatherings. When you arrived at my house all of the neighborhood kids surrounded you. You would treat all to ice cream and share laughs. I remember how you would take me, Isma and my mom to see horror movies.

Even my children and their friends have had the honor of you being part of their lives. You and Wally had all of them and their friends at the beach. And how you adored little Juliet, your great great niece. She always screams for her Nenie! We love and will always cherish the times we had with you. Thank you for all those special moments you shared with us.

Out of anyone i’ve ever met, Nenie had the best and warmest greeting. As soon as I would walk into the room she immediately lit up, opened up her arms, and would yell out my name. Never failed to make me smile.
