Condolences
Donna and family I am so sorry for your loss. We are praying for you all constantly. I have worked with Jim for 9 years very closely. During that time he taught me a lot. He loved life. He loved Donna ( Donner how it sounded to this Mississippi boy ) to the moon and back and was very proud of his kids. We pray for Peace for your family during this time. He will be missed but not forgotten.
God rest his soul. Ar dheis Dè go rabh a Anam dílis.
Jim Kelly, I thank God for allowing me to know you for 5 years. It was a short time but I’m grateful. I will miss our conversations and your super crispy button down shirts on our zoom calls.
Jim you will be missed. You were so kind and direct at the same time. You will be forever be in the Nike team hearts.
I had the pleasure of working with Jim at PLC. He was such and amazing influence and positive man. He would teach me something new every time we ever talked. He certainly loved his wife and family and always made sure to ask how any of in Memphis were as well. Such a happy sincere man. Thank you for sharing him with the world. Prayers and blessings to the family through the grief. Stacy Booth
It was an honor and a pleasure to work with Jim all these years. He had a Columbo-like way about him, able to put people at ease while getting to the point and moving things along. Jim is one of my favorite people. Definitely.
We are shattered to hear of your passing. My older cousin. Soooo many memories, kids, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, vacations, visiting, just so many family gatherings. Jimmy, you are a great son, brother, brother in law, husband, father, father in law, grandfather, cousin, friend, role model, you have it all. Your family is a strong bond. The Kelly clan. The love, support, faith, and strength of the Kelly clan, will hold them together. Donna, will grieve for you, but you know she will continue to keep her fight going, with her family by her side every step of the way. You will be missed a lot! You are flying high on the wings of a Dove. Greeted by Mom and Dad, and so many other family and friends. You will always be around. We will look for the signs. Butterflies, doves, cardinals, songs, sayings, scents, and many others. God bless your family. Prayers and hugs, your cousin Jack, Erena and The O’Brien Clan.
Bless you big brother. Catch me on the other side. First weekend without being able to catch up with you and your loss weighs way too heavy... tears, tears, tears and yet peace because I know you gave it all ... rest well and watch over my fragile self as you always have. Love thom
Words cannot express the sorrow and shock of Jimmy’s passing. We were truly stunned. Jimmy was a true family man, a great husband, father & grandfather. He always talked about his love of family. He was also a great friend as we really enjoyed meeting at the Jets games since 1981, since we had our original season tickets at Shea Stadium. Even though Jimmy and Donna moved to NJ and I still lived in Glendale, I got to know Dawn, Ryan & Shannon whenever Jimmy took them to a Jets game, if Donna couldn’t go. Jimmy & I also played fast pitch softball in the FH league together & against each other. Our families go way back in Glendale, from my dad & mom being best friends with Tom & Dot, taking vacations together & my dad & Jimmy’s dad hanging out together in the infamous Assembly bar. I never heard anyone say a bad word about Jimmy. (I might not just have heard it, lol). Sophie & I can only imagine how all of you must feel in losing him so suddenly.
Donna, just try to remember all of the good times that you shared, all of those special moments & occasions that made your life together so meaningful.
Again, you have our deepest sympathy & condolences.
Love Tommie, Sophie, TJ & Colin
To the Kelly Family, I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I was heartbroken to hear the news as I was so fond of Jim! Jim and I worked together at PLC for over 6 years, and he was such a kind and loving guy. Jim always looked out for me. He reminds me a lot of my dad, being from NY and loving the Jets even though they never really won. He was the ultimate family man! He always talked about his kids and grandkids with so much pride. I loved hearing about his weekends in the summer hanging out in the backyard, grilling and being in the pool. He was the best boss I have ever had. I’ll never forget him and will always think of Jim fondly. Rest in Peace, Jim! Say hi to my mom when you see her!
Our sincere condolences goes out to family and friends, of JAMES F. KELLY.
My deepest sympathies to Donna and family. One of my best memories of Jimmy goes back to when we were all teenagers together. Tom, my husband, who was my boyfriend at the time, was in the Airforce. I had turned 18 and for my birthday the guys we all hung out with took me the club Hammerheads in Levittown Long Island. Jimmy went and put money in the juke box and played “They Say It’s Your Birthday” by the Beatles and then grabbed my hand, and said to me, come on you gotta dance to it - it’s your birthday. I will never forgot how much fun I had that night. Jimmy was a thoughtful, fun loving guy. He will surely be missed by all.
Jimmy was a great friend. We met young and were alter boys, basketball teammates, swimming teammates and classmates. Later as adults we bowled together for years. When we were 13 we were on the Sacred Heart basketball team together. Jimmy was good but I stunk yet he was always rooting for me. Once when we were ahead by about 20 points and there were 20 seconds left,I got in a game. Inadvertently i had the ball at half court as time was expiring and heaved it at the basket and somehow it went in. Jimmy ran onto the court and carried me to the locker room as if I was Rudy. He was so happy. I will never forget that although it was 53 years ago
I have so many memories of time spent with Jimmy i could type for hours but that one is my most cherished. Donna and Children, Tommy, John and the entire extended family, although we are sad and distraught at this dark time please take some solace in that Jimmy is in Heaven with Mom&Dad.
Stay strong in your Faith, family and foundation to help you through this tragic event. I will always think of Jimmy and all of you, my second family, often and fondly
My deepest condolences to you and your family. I have worked with Mr. Kelly for 8yrs and have been his AR agent for his accounts here in PLC, HQ. I remember Jim as being a jolly, witty man filled with ambitious and very appreciative when advising changes within his accounts. He will truly be missed by me. It's a rare occasion when you work with a nice person and have the same goals. Rest in Peace Jim....see you on the other side one day. Sincerely, Carmen Alvarado. AR Agent, PLC HQ.
