Obituary of James F. Kelly
James F. Kelly, 66, of Jackson passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, August 5, 2024. Jim was born in Manhattan and was raised and had lived in the Glendale section of Queens. Along with his wife, Donna, they moved to Howell Township in 1983 and then to Freehold Township. In 2004, they settled in Jackson. Jim was the Vice President of Sale on the East Coast for Forward Air, formerly Pacific Logistics Company and had worked in the logistics business for over 40 years. He was a man of faith and was a longtime and dedicated parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine. Jim enjoyed traveling throughout the years for work and for pleasure and even met the love of his life, Donna at a Club Med. He relished his time hanging out at the Ivy League and Dunkin Donuts. Jim was a lifelong NY Yankee fan and even more a suffering NY Jet fan. Nothing meant more to him than being Pop Kelly.
Jim is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna’ three children, Dawn Colorio and her husband, Mike of Bayville, Ryan Kelly of Buckhead, Georgia, and Shannon Kelly of Bayville; three grandchildren, Jace, Savannah, and Brynn; two brothers, Dr. Thomas Kelly and his partner, Ahmed Elmanan and John Kelly and his wife, Anita.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 9:30 AM for the procession to his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
