Condolences
Jerry was very special to all of us. Positive, always with a smile, he was always kind with a great sense of humor. We remember many fun hikes, his beautiful art, sharing his guitar with Betsy when she was little. We shared Maine, NY, NJ,CA ,TN, and AZ with Jerry. He was always up for an adventure, a good meal, and a story. We will miss him! Much love, Eddie and Kim
1968 was my first year at Con Ed and Jerry was there when my mother died and a couple of years later when I got married.
Along with Klaus we would explore the world around us and act like Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters.
But I never inhaled!
Every day in the “old people’s park” we would think of another life important question such as “Where do pigeons go to die?
Unfortunately for me I moved out of 14th street and lost connection with one of the best friends I ever had. CharlesWeliky
I first met Jerry in 1982 when I started my permanent assignment in System Protection at Con Edison. As a recent college graduate I was quite naive, but Jerry was there to help with any technical questions I had; but more importantly, he helped me adjust to the world of office and corporate politics.
I worked very closely with Jerry for nine weeks when we were "splicer's helpers" during the Con Ed strike in 1983. Despite working 12 hour shifts during one of the hottest summers on record, Jerry's positive outlook and sense of humor kept the rest of us from falling into despair.
This was followed by my time in Relay Protection Engineering from 1984 to 1998, which I consider the best period of my Con Ed career. Jerry was the leader of a unique group of characters that made it fun to go to work everyday. We all have very fond memories of that time.
Jerry was truly one-of-a-kind; a modern day renaissance man. He completely broke the stereotype of the nerdy engineer, as he was also a talented artist and musician. With that incredible brain of his I'm sure he would have been successful in any career he had chosen.
He will be greatly missed, but will never be forgotten. My sincere condolences to his family and many friends.
I worked with Jerry for many years in Electrical Engineering and I always thought of him as a true Renaissance man - artist, poet, musician. I’m so sorry for the loss of such a talented, fun loving, warmhearted soul. My condolences to his family and friends
I first met Jerry when I was an intern engineer at Con Edison central engineering. When I was assigned the desk next to him it was my lucky day. We immediately became friends and he was always there for me helping anyway he could. I have worked with many talented people over the years but Jerry always stood out as one of the best. If Jerry told you something without a doubt it was always correct. We had a very close group of several engineers that did so many great things together that included travel and fun dinners. My memories of these times were always a special part of my life. To Jerry’s family and friends who spent so much wonderful time with him I am so sorry for your loss.

I worked with Jerry in Relay Protection Engineering Section of Central Engineering at Con Edison. He was great engineer who was always professional, analytical, and friendly in his approach to his work and the people he worked with.
It always was amazed me, he would drive those long distances from home to work in Manhattan every day to find street parking.. To me quite a feat.
He will be missed.
My deepest heart-felt sympathy to his family and all those who loved him.
Jerry was a great friend, our Best Man at our wedding in December 1967, a great guitarist, and all-around great party guy. We shared many good times with him & miss him.
Our condolences go to all his loved ones with best wishes for only fond memories of times shared with Jerry.
