Condolences
My first story about my cousin Paul involves THE CORVETTE GRILL where he was manager. I have a collection of Bradford Exchange plates and one I had bought was a flashy bright orange Corvette. I went to The Corvette and as I gave it to Paul he asked a staff member to put the plate on the wall near the entrance. Then he said "Wieder let's have a beer at the bar". After 2 or 3 beers I asked the bartender for the tab and the response was "Paul has already taken care of it sir".
Paul advised me that the grill portion would be opening in a month or so and invited me back. I remember having a nice meal with my wife, Jocelyn.
I asked for the check and our server said "Paul has already taken care of it"............His generosity to all he came in contact with was truly in the image of Christ on earth. Paul was very special that way.
My second fond memory involved his time at the Jersey Shore and I might have nicknamed him "Paulie Shore" as he invited my wife and I to visit him one summer weekend. We ran a "good guys weekend" every year with our ring bearers Joey Curci and Andrew Saladin and this Jersey Shore weekend was for "good guys" only (and my wife Jocelyn).
Having these young guys inside Lucky Leo's playing the games there for the prize tickets was unbelievable for these kids (12 and 9 years old).
Andrew was amazed at his vast amount of prize tickets won as was Joey. Then, Paul said let's go outside and have them shoot paintballs at the live moving target. They were in awe as Paul said to his colleague "load these guys up with our super canister"....about 100 paintballs. Paul said he had some office business to attend to and that he would be back in 15 minutes or so......just as he arrived the guys had about 5 or 6 shots left and they were having a blast. Paul said "load these guys up again with another large" and the look on these kids eyes was unsurpassed.
This was a demonstration of his love for children. He was delighted to see their reaction to another round.....they were exhausted after this event.
Paul Joseph Loures or "Paulie Shore" was a kind, humble, caring and loving man full of generosity and blessings for all mankind as was illustrated in his Missionary works in Uganda, Nicaragua, and Haiti.
I viewed the service last evening and it was a wonderful tribute to a man that walked this earth as Christ did.
I love you Paul and God needed another Missionary in Heaven to oversee that many more of his flock. Rest in Peace cousin.....amen.
We send our sincere condolences to all the family. It is awesome to know he can be at peace now with the Lord. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to your family.

Our sincere condolences to all the family. Paul was a special person, who did so much for other people. He will always be remembered for his big heart & smile. May he finally rest in peace without pain. We love you Paul.
We were so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved brother Paul. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.
My good and Christian cousin Paul was a son, father, husband, brother, uncle, missionary, and friend to many. I believe he was enemy to none! Smiling, happy, intelligent, and full of love and empathy to those in need. I recall a song "Only the good die young". Paul was a good and noble CHRISTIAN SOLDIER and God needed this angel closer to him in heaven with LIFE EVERLASTING and pain free. Rest in peace dear cousin Paul...rest in peace. Amen.
Not long ago I was visiting with Paul and Lincoln and we were talking about Nicaragua. He mentioned that I had been on the trip 2 years ago and I insisted that I had not gone on that trip. Paul said, "Yes you were, we had that box of tattoos that we were using for the kids." I said, "Yes, but I didn't go, I wasn't there." He replied, "YOU WERE THERE! We had the tattoos and you made all those kids happy, you were there in your heart and look at what you did, it was a blessing."
That was Paul, always finding the Jesus in everything, always making you feel like you mattered, always pointing everyone to the cross.
On one of our trips we got baptized in a little pool in Nicaragua together, he reminded me of that during our visit. After I learned he went Home, I thought about all our little conversations over the years and I was thankful for every one of them. Anyone who knew him knows Paul was a rare diamond in a sea of gems.
Our deepest sympathy to the Loures family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time
