Obituary of Nicholas D'Alessio
Nicholas D'Alessio, 49, of Toms River passed away suddenly on Monday, September 16, 2013. Nick was born in Perth Amboy, raised in Iselin and eventually settled in Toms River. He retired as a police officer for Rutgers's University in Newark and prior to that he worked for the Middlesex County Corrections Department. He was a member of the Middlesex County Swat Team and most recently, Nick was a freelance security officer and a licensed private detective. Not only an avid hunter and a true outdoorsman, He was a loyal brother, a loving uncle, and a true friend that will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Nick was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Camille D'Alessio. He is survived by two sisters, Lisa Alves and her husband, Michael of Califon and Sheri D'Alessio of Edison; two brothers, Vincent D'Alessio and his wife, Patricia of Jackson and Joe D'Alessio of Endicott, NY; two nephews, Dominic and Christopher; and a loving girlfriend, Yvonne McKenzie of Toms River.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with a prayer service to follow at 7:30 PM.
