Obituary of Margaret Mackey
MARGARET A. MACKEY, 83, of MILLSTONE TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Reformed Church Assisted Living, Old Bridge. Mrs. Mackey was born in Manhattan and lived in Staten Island before moving to Millstone Township 4 1/2 years ago. She was a nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital for many years. In later years, she was a nurses' aide at Carmel Richmond Nursing Home.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1989. Surviving are a son, John Mackey of Seattle, Wash.; four daughters, Patricia Meyer of Millstone, Mary Ellen Brace of Old Bridge, Maureen Amarante of Metuchen, and Allison Mackey of St. George, Staten Island, N.Y.; two brothers, Frank Del Prete of Bronx, N.Y., and Paul Del Prete of Florida; a sister, Marion DeLacio of Long Island, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 8:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by her 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 91 Stillhouse Road, Perrineville.
