Condolences
My sincere condolences to Barney's family: Barney called me after reading about my brokerage association and involvement with Project Homefront. Barney was a lovely and gracious man who welcomed me into his wonderful office and met me with boxes filled with supplies for our troops in Iraq. What memorabilia surrounded him--pictures of his beautiful family, his Yankees, his lawyer activities. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with you, his loving family and friends.
My mother, Martha Morrongiello, keeps me informed of Staten Island news. She called me today to tell me of Barney's untimely passing. Barney was the drummer in our sorry little junior high school group we called Cycle Five. I played trumpet and sang. Chris Sterner (now an attorney with the IRS) played clarinet and Alan Dunton (now a doctor) played accordion. I think Larry Freedman played sax. We performed "Love is Blue" and "Michelle" in the Bernstein Junior High talent show. Thank goodness video cameras hadn't yet been invented. There was enough material there to provide a lifetime of embarrassment. But we had fun! Barney grew to be quite the man. In your grief and sadness, please don't ever forget what he achieved for himself and his family. I am very, very sorry for your loss.

Donna, I was very sad to hear of Barney's passing. I know the family was going thru a difficult period in their lives. Barney was a good man and was very good to my family and we will remember him fondly. I hope you find peace in the future. We will miss seeing him and Sara at the Jet games. We are in Marco Island Florida and were with Thomas when he heard the news of Barnie's Passing from Bucks. I am sorry we were not home to attend the service. God bless you. Ernie & Fran Trillo
