Condolences
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Max, Walter and family, and Brian and family. Adele was one of my favorite cousins.
I will always remember her love and kindness whenever the occasion brought us together. May remembering her love for you help through this most difficult time.
Sam (Semsoom) said it all ....Adele was SO much more than a cousin to us....She was a sister, a mother and a close friend....We all grew up with her as part of our Pantano/Harraka family ....She went on many vacations with us and she was often at our house just hanging out.....As we often were at her home and 'Sweet Shop" hanging out with her family....And that closeness continued on through the rest of her life...I will dearly miss our long phone conversations with all the belly laughs she gave me.....She is forever a part of my heart and soul and I carry her love, laughter, joy and light within me which is what is carrying me through this great loss...To Max, Walt and Brian and her Peach,I send you all my love and healing thoughts as I also extend those same wishes to Janelle, Patty and all her beloved grandchildren ...Adele only wanted people to feel joy, love and laughter...That is the gift she gave to all of us...and I am going to try to live each day as she would...With love, joy and laughter....The pics below are of one of the vacations with Adele when we were younguns'...(Yes, we hated having our pic taken as you can see by our faces) and the second is the one of Jayne and me with Adele at one of our yearly Pantano week celebrations which she and Max often attended....And this pic perfectly exemplifies what it was like to be with Adele...Love and laughter!... I love you SO much my precious Dellyboo (click on old photo to see the second photo)
There are so many memories of growing up with our “sister” Adele, I wouldn’t know where to start. Growing up a couple blocks from each other in Hawthorne and being intertwined with Adele’s Sweet Shop, we Pantano kids had an older sister and all the great interactions that go along with it. Max, may God give you the strength to weather the loss of the love of your life. Walter and Brian, my sympathies go out to you both and your families for this immeasurable loss. Photo is Adele with brother Carlo and me.
So sorry to hear this very sad news about Adelle's passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Max, Walter, Brian and their families ❤️
The memory I have of Adele is mostly from hearing about her from Max, I worked for him for a few years, long ago…and then moved across the country.. I grew to love Max like a grandfather so naturally I cared and loved the woman that meant so very much to him…I’m so thankful for Facebook keeping us in contact over the years and distance and Adele and I creating our own friendship. My heart hurts for all of you left here without her!! But know she is with you in spirit always ! You hold her within who you are ! To Max… be thankful you had 41 years of the kind of love you shared… most people aren’t so blessed, she will always be with you ! Love you from WA state.
Rest in Peace cousin Adel. Our condolences to Max and your Family. In Jesus's name Amen. Love, Gary and Regina Cantor
