Obituary of Adele F. Godoy
Adele F. Godoy, 75, of Jackson passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. She was born in Paterson, raised in Hawthorne, and had lived in Wayne for 45 years before settling in Jackson in 2020. Adele worked as an office manager for Lynx, USA in Paterson where she met her husband Max, and most recently for Weichert Realtors, retiring in 2008. She was a devoted volunteer at St. Ann’s Church in West Paterson. Adele enjoyed trips down the Jersey Shore, especially vacations to Cape May and Myrtle Beach. Her grandchildren would love to visit to swim in the pool and take fun trips to the hobby shop. Adele’s greatest gift was her ability to create special bonds with each of her grandkids.
She was predeceased by her parents Emily and George Terkmany; and uncle, John Harraka. Adele is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Maximo Godoy of Jackson; children, Walter Zemlanicky and his wife, Patty of Morganville and Brian Zemlanicky and his wife, Janelle of Bridgewater; grandchildren, Jack Zemlanicky, George Zemlanicky, Colin Zemlanicky, Ava Zemlanicky, and Jake Zemlanicky; and many loving cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
