Sam (Semsoom) said it all ....Adele was SO much more than a cousin to us....She was a sister, a mother and a close friend....We all grew up with her as part of our Pantano/Harraka family ....She went on many vacations with us and she was often at our house just hanging out.....As we often were at her home and 'Sweet Shop" hanging out with her family....And that closeness continued on through the rest of her life...I will dearly miss our long phone conversations with all the belly laughs she gave me.....She is forever a part of my heart and soul and I carry her love, laughter, joy and light within me which is what is carrying me through this great loss...To Max, Walt and Brian and her Peach,I send you all my love and healing thoughts as I also extend those same wishes to Janelle, Patty and all her beloved grandchildren ...Adele only wanted people to feel joy, love and laughter...That is the gift she gave to all of us...and I am going to try to live each day as she would...With love, joy and laughter...Pics below are old one of Adele with us on one of our vacations when we were younguns' and then a pic of Adele with Jayne and me at one of our yearly Pantano week celebrations where she and Max often attended...This pic exemplifies what it is all about being with Adele..Love and laughter!.....I love you SO much my precious Dellyboo
There are so many memories of growing up with our “sister” Adele, I wouldn’t know where to start. Growing up a couple blocks from each other in Hawthorne and being intertwined with Adele’s Sweet Shop, we Pantano kids had an older sister and all the great interactions that go along with it. Max, may God give you the strength to weather the loss of the love of your life. Walter and Brian, my sympathies go out to you both and your families for this immeasurable loss. Photo is Adele with brother Carlo and me.
